Z Update and Tech Ed

Again, progress has been fairly slow on Brent's Z. Getting the hood straight has been more difficult than we initially envisioned. To this point, there are 13 high spots that needed fixed after block sanding, and that isn't counting the damage at the front of the hood. It appears as if a truck or a vehicle with higher than normal bumper placement backed in to the car. At the front of the hood there is a 6" indentation all the way across the middle.

In any case, I'm currently in New Orleans attending the Microsoft TechEd 2010 conference. I've been here since Sunday and thus far it's been a really good time. The sessions are very well structured and the presenters have all been very knowledgeable. Oh, and the Hurricanes at Pat O'Brien's and Hand Grenades certainly do their part as well.

Is it sad that I'm probably overly excited to attend the Remote Desktop Session Host vs. Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Smackdown?

Slow progress - but progress nonetheless

After much turmoil, I finally made it out to Brent's house to assist with his car. We finally got to re-taping up the windshield and hatch, along with sealing off the interior. I hit sanding the hood down pretty hard, but it's still got a ways to go before it's fully prepped. Would have been much easier just to strip the paint using paint stripper, but we didn't have any handy. Gotta work with what you've got. Getting pretty late so I figure I'll hit the sack and let my arm heal a bit.

Goals for tomorrow:

• Paint hatch.
• Complete preparation of hood.
• Complete preparation of mirrors.

First Post!

Here we are. First post. This page will be used primarily as an archival for the various projects that I'm working on. My goal is to catalog and organize the work being performed, so that others may potentially find it useful in the future. The following are active, and possibly soon to be active, projects that I'm working on.

• Completing Brent's Z in time for Z-Con 2010
